The conservative and energy-upgrade recovery intervention of the prestigious Villa
Cantoni in Arona was carried out by fully meeting the artistic, architectonic, and living comfort specifications.
The need to introduce modern technologies to heat, cool and guarantee indoor air quality (IAQ) inside a building constructed more than a century ago as a single-family residential dwelling and today used for offices and multi-family residences, made Giacomini’s systems the only acceptable option for the project managers.
The heating and cooling radiant floor represents the best solution when it comes to reconciling comfort with the freedom of use and frescoed ceilings. In particular, R979TG and R979S panels brilliantly overcome typical installation issues, especially when the space available is limited, a very common problem in energy-upgrading interventions.
The air quality is kept under control by the heat recuperators with thermodynamic integration, which guarantee an efficient ventilation and control of moisture.
Metering of the energy consumptions of each unit is carried out by the metering modules which, thanks to static balancing valves and differential pressure controllers, ensure the distribution of the correct flows when the operational phase of the system.
Control of such a complex integrated system thus becomes incredibly simple: with the touch chronothermohumidistats setting of the indoor temperature takes only a few intuitive steps.
Solutions installed
By its own nature, the KDV unit is paired to radiant systems. KDVRAY can perform air exchange with or with no heat recovery, summer humidification and cooling (with no dehumidification).
The Villa Cantoni radiant floor was realized with R979 low-thickness panels, R996T pex-b pipes with oxygen barrier, R553FK preassembled manifold kits with R553W insulation sets and K492D weekly chronothermohumidistat.
Thermal energy metering is carried out through GE552 devices while hydronic balancing is performed with the R206B static balancing valves combined to R206C differential pressure valves.
